"Why should you win this pageant" is one of the most common questions that pageant interview judges like to ask, so you should always be ready for it regardless of what pageant system you are competing in. Talk About What You've Already Done

Do your past accomplishments make you a great candidate for the title? Write them up as talking points and get ready to share with the judges during your interview. These can be achievements inside or outside of school, work with your pageant platform or other accomplishments that show the judges how committed you are to setting goals and meeting them.

It can also provide them with interesting details to help them remember you when you're on stage later. This is why interesting facts can be so important for nailing your interview!

Talk About What You Plan To Do

Do you have special plans for the title? A year-long marketing plan that you hope to implement if you win? Some people spend years trying to win a specific title, and over that time their goals associated with it become more concrete. Perhaps you have a goal about how many youth you want to speak with over the year, how many 5k runs or special events you want to promote your title at. Telling the judges how you plan to hit the ground running is a great approach to answering this question.

Tell Them What Sets You Apart

Do you have unique qualities that you think make you distinct from other contestants? Is it your personal drive, your willingness to keep trying even when you encounter obstacles or your innate ability to connect instantly with people? Aligning your individual qualities with the job of being a titleholder is a strong way to illustrate your strengths. This might even include talking about how you overcome your weaknesses or work hard to improve them.

Any of the above-mentioned approaches can be really valuable in pageant interview. If you get stuck, remember that you can share what you've done, what you plan to do, or what makes you unique. When you take some time in advance to think about these three ways to tackle this question, you'll feel far more confident come pageant day.
