About Kentucky County Fair Teen

Welcome to Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant

Celebrating over six decades of pageantry excellence in Kentucky!

Since 1956, the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant has been a cherished tradition, offering local winners the chance to compete at the state level and vie for scholarship opportunities. Each year, approximately 90 young women from across the state gather for this prestigious event.

Key Requirements and Information:

To compete at the state level, contestants must be 16 years of age on October 31 and cannot be 22 on October 31 of the year when the local pageant is held.

Contestants must meet all established deadlines, including filing an application with a scanned and emailed birth certificate no later than December 1.

Specific details about the pageant, including schedules, wardrobe guidelines, and hotel reservations, will be emailed to contestants by November 1.

Contestants must be natural-born females, single, never married, and without any children.

Contestants may not participate in any other pageant system that would hinder their ability to fulfill responsibilities during their reign as Miss Kentucky County Fair.

General Rules Applicable to All Pageant Programs:

Fairs participating in this program must be recognized as bona fide fairs by the KY Dept. of Agriculture.

All dues and fees related to the pageant must be paid no later than April 1 of the year in which the pageant is held.

Local fairs are encouraged to conduct their local pageants according to rules that suit their specific circumstances.

No photo or internet contests/pageants are permitted for entry into any KAFHS state pageant program.

Contestants must be winners or runner-ups in the local pageant, with runner-ups accepted only if the winner becomes ineligible or unable to attend.

The local Fair Board or sponsor is not financially responsible for transportation, accommodations, or seating arrangements.

Winners of KAFHS pageants cannot compete in the same pageant again.

Local fairs are advised not to accept contestants with out-of-state residences.

Winners of KAFHS pageants are expected to attend the other three KAFHS pageant programs in the coming year.

For any general questions about the pageant, including paperwork and ticket information, please contact our office at 270-378-1885 or [email protected]. For specific wardrobe-related questions, reach out to Beverly Burcham at 859.586.5687 or [email protected].

Thank you for being a part of this longstanding tradition, and we look forward to celebrating pageantry excellence with you!
