For more than four decades, Mrs. Luper and the Miss Black Oklahoma Program have provided minority youth more than one hundred thousand dollars in scholarships, trips and personal development and growth opportunities. These Oklahoma “stars” have been able to pursue their dreams and attain success in such fields as Law, Entertainment, Medicine, Business, Education, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Government and the Non-profit Sector.
Chelle Luper Wilson, the daughter of the late Mrs. Clara Luper is honored and humbled to be the new State Promoter/Executive Director of the Miss Black Oklahoma Pageant. Her mother certainly left big shoes to fill, but Chelle also inherited her mother's big dreams and a big desire to continue the work of developing the winner that lie inside everyone. With respect for past achievements and plans for our future success, we are prepared to make the 42nd Annual Miss Black Oklahoma Pageant, the best one yet! With the addition of a Miss Black Oklahoma Teen Queen, National Pageant Partnership and enhanced PAGE/ESCORT Programs, we are committed to keeping Mrs. Luper’s vision of providing opportunities for Oklahoma’s youth alive and well
