About:
The North Carolina Plus America Pageant is on a mission to motivate plus-size women and teen girls to embrace their inner "Queen." This platform provides numerous opportunities to showcase beauty, talent, and intellect. Delegates are encouraged to participate in both required and optional categories, promoting well-rounded representation and appreciation of their qualities.

Registration Period:
Extended from December 1st to 16th, 2023, for the following divisions:

Mrs. / Miss / Miss-Teen
Little Miss & Miss Preteen
More information will be sent in response to your application. To apply for NCPA, please complete the information below and review the competition categories & requirements.

Required Categories:
The pageant night competition consists of three (3) categories.

Private Interview (50% of Total Score):

Individual interview with a panel of judges.
Self-introduction, followed by a 5-minute combination of questions on various topics.
Interview attire: Dressy/business, color standard set by the Executive Director.
Elegant Pantwear (25% of Total Score):

Pant suit or elegant pantwear appropriate for a formal dinner.
Evening pumps or formal sandals required.
Evening Gown (25% of Total Score):

Floor-length gown with foundations.
Color should contrast and complement your skin tone.
Prizes per Division:
The highest-scoring winners in each division receive:

Official North Carolina Plus America state crown, sash, and bouquet.
Paid National Entry Fee & Advancement to the National Miss Plus America Competition in Houston, Texas, in July 2023.
Cash, prizes, and more! (Exact amount varies based on sponsorships & expenses.)
Optional Categories:
These categories showcase additional talents and abilities, with separate awards and prizes.

Essay Competition:

Open to all registered delegates.
Winning essay published on the NCPA website and program book.
Talent:

Performances limited to 2:00 (exactly 2 minutes).
Various talents allowed, subject to approval.
People's Choice:

Delegates solicit support for online voting.
Most Photogenic:

Portfolio submission of 5 different stylings of photos.
Community Service:

Awarded to the delegate with a dedication to community service.
Spokesmodel:

Delegates promote their current platform through a 2-minute presentation.
Runway Model:

Strut your stuff on the Miss NC Plus America runway.
Covergirl:

Online voting competition on Facebook, winner featured on the back cover of the NCPA Program Book.
