They only have 4 locals left and half are already done. What Amy wrote in her review is all true and that is why they've lost most of their locals. They have a good Miss Ohio this year but the damage was already done last year. The girls that still do Miss Ohio that were there then are just suck ups that will compete until they age out.

This system is most unprofessional. There is blatant and rampant cheating. One major sponsor also specifically supported one contestant who happen to be crowned the winner. She couldn't win a prelim and entered sweeps and was awarded a sweeps title (the very last one). She made the top 10 at state as people's choice with the sponsor donations putting her at the top. her placement was not due to her own merit whatsoever however she did get crowned. She made the top 10 at state as people's choice with the sponsor donations putting her at the top. her placement was not due to her own merit whatsoever however she did get crowned. The sponsor was allow access to the contestants when no one else, parents nor directors, were allow during pageant week. The sponsor also donated to side awards which he was also allowed to judge himself. He heckled the girls in those interviews who were a threat to his special girl. This sponsor created a 501c3 for the contestant and the address of her non-profit is the sponsors home address. This sponsor deposited $10k at one of the largest dress shops in the country for her to go shopping. All of this is documented and presented to the board and MA board. There are tons of other improprieties all documented... I could go on
When the board was confronted they had no answers. Official grievances were filed with Miss America and MA said there was no wrong doing. I wonder why?! The scam began at the top and trickled down. Please, have some respect for yourself and stay out of the Miss America pageant system. If you live in Ohio there are tons of better choices. Miss Ohio is not ethical and anyone that participates is just contributing to the problem!Show less
