Sevier County Fairest of the Fair

This pageant is so well run! Summer is super organized and informative! We had an excellent experience competing and will be back!

This was my daughters second pageant and she was so discouraged by the end that she has no desire to ever participate in another pageant again. First- Very mislead to believe that the people’s choice was for each age group, however it was awarded to overall most votes. My daughter worked hard to gain votes, was in first place within her group, was excited to win something, and then nothing. Needs to be clearly stated if that’s the case. First- Very mislead to believe that the people’s choice was for each age group, however it was awarded to overall most votes. My daughter worked hard to gain votes, was in first place within her group, was excited to win something, and then nothing. Needs to be clearly stated if that’s the case. Second- no clear communication to the 0-9 age groups. Was left guessing what we needed to do. Then we came to registered on day of the event no one knew where we were to go and even the organizers at the fair itself was confused. We were told to be there at 4:30 and they barely let us come in through the gate because they said they were not open yet. Third- this event was very clearly not fairly judged. I say this because the staff and helpers kept coming over during backstage line up and were whispering to the same participant who won the title and most of the secondary awards. We were warned by past participants and people within our community prior to signing up for this pageant that the same kids win each year and not to expect to win anything. But my daughter has been eager to enter another pageant and against my best judgment did so. After the same girl won all the awards and title my daughter barely made it off stage before bursting into tears. I know this is coming off dense or bitter that my daughter didn’t win but you have to understand she is 6 with a disability and struggles with self esteem issues which is why I thought a pageant may help with that. I just want to warn anyone else before they enter this pageant in the future.Show less

Summer is a top notch director! Her pageants always showcase the contestants, while providing a fun experience for spectators! Excellent prize package and excellent opportunities for queens!
