You have ideas and plans and goals - so much to offer the world - but how? Each year young women just like you choose to compete in the Miss South Carolina system. That's right! Many of them are just like you - yet they know that the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization is the largest provider of scholarships for young women in the Miss America system.

Whether you want to become a doctor or a dancer, an accountant or an architect, the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization has an opportunity that will help bring you closer to achieving your goals. To become Miss South Carolina, a contestant must first win a local competition and then compete to represent her local at the state pageant, a process requiring personal commitment, hard work and talent.

For the avoidance of doubt, a contestant cannot turn twenty-six (26) years of age at any time during the calendar year in which she will compete at state.

For avoidance of doubt, 13 to 17 year old high school graduates, as well as 18 year old non-graduates as of July 31st, must compete at MAOTeen level.
Contestants must be high school graduates or have passed the high school equivalency examination (G.E.D.) by the date of the finals of the State Pageant of the year in which they would be eligible to compete in the National Finals of the Miss America Pageant.

Contestants of the Miss SC Scholarship Competition will not only compete for the title but will have the opportunity to meet and network with some of the most influential leaders in the community. Through community service events and one-on-one sessions, these young ladies will gain experience in public speaking and service to others while promoting and bringing awareness to their personal platforms.
