Miss Volunteer America is a scholarship organization founded in Jackson, TN by Allison and Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts, as a new way for young women to compete for scholarships and promote volunteerism in their communities. Their goal was to take five of the most important attributes for a well rounded individual and place them as the pillars of the organization.
S - Scholarships
E - Education
R - Responsibility
V - Volunteerism
E - Empowerment
Wyoming became a part of the organization one year ago when we crowned our first titleholder, Bailee Wistisen. Bailee traveled throughout her year working with breast cancer survivors through her organization - All Queens Bare Scars. Bailee crowned the 2nd ever Miss Wyoming Volunteer, Hannah Moore, on October 29, 2022. Hannah will be representing Wyoming at the national competition on June 24, 2023 in Jackson, TN.
Our organization aims to serve our state by empowering women of all ages. We have 3 Programs for girls to take part in:
For girls aged 3 to 12 we have our Jade Princess Mentorship Program. This program aims to instill the importance of education and volunteerism from a young age.
For girls aged 13 to 18 years old, we have our Teen program which largely focuses on volunteerism with the implementation of a year-long volunteer project to complete throughout their reign.
Our final program is our Miss program, this program focuses on all aspects of the princess and teen programs while expanding on the importance of women in higher education.
