Molasses Festival Pageant

Get ready to experience the charm and excitement of the 8th WV Molasses Festival Pageant, celebrating the festival's 56th year! Join us on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 6:00 pm, at the High School in Mt Zion, WV, for an evening filled with beauty, talent, and community spirit.

TEEN & QUEEN PAGEANT INFORMATION:

Registration:
Contestant registration will take place from 11:15 am to 11:30 am.

Phases of Competition:
Both Teen and Queen divisions will compete in the following categories:

Interview
Introductions (Purple, Yellow, Teal, or Red shirt, blue jean pants, and white)
Sense of Style (Cocktail/Romper)
Evening Gown
Top 5 Finalists:
The Top 5 finalists in the Teen and Queen divisions will also compete in On-Stage Interview.

Awards:
Winners and runners-up will be honored with fabulous prizes and recognition.

Teen Queen will receive a Crown, Sash, Official bouquet, Thirty-One Bag, and a prize package.
Queen winner will receive a Crown, Sash, Official bouquet, Thirty-One Bag, and a prize package.
People's Choice award will receive a custom sash and crown.
Entry Fee:
Queen: $165
Teen: $135
A small $10 gift is required to add to the prize package.

Registration Deadline:
The deadline for registration is July 15, 2023. Submit all paperwork and payment to [email protected] (Friends and Family ONLY).

Eligibility:
Both age divisions are open statewide.
Queen contestants must be 16 years of age on January 1, 2024, and MUST NOT have reached their 22nd birthday BEFORE January 1, 2024.
Teen contestants MUST BE 13 – 15 years of age on July 29th, 2023, and must not have reached their 16th birthday before December 31st, 2023.

Participation Requirements:
Winners are required to attend the 2023 WV Molasses Festival scheduled for September 28, 29 & 30, 2023. Participation in designated activities during the festival, pageant fundraisers, a minimum of 2 parades, 4 pageants, and 1 community service of your choice is mandatory.

Event Regulations:
Due to limited space, ONLY CONTESTANTS will be allowed backstage. Disqualification and dismissal without a refund will result from non-compliance with this rule.
