Montana and New Mexico America are New Mexico’s, and Montana's official preliminary pageant to the Mrs. America and Miss For America national pageants. Each year, two winners are chosen to represent the state of New Mexico, and two winners to represent the state of Montana at the Mrs. America and Miss For America pageants. They also receive the opportunity to represent the Mrs. America Organization throughout their home states for the duration of their reign as well as a prize package selected by Montana and New Mexico America For America directors.
All contestants for Miss Montana and New Mexico for America must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, swimsuit, evening gown, and onstage question. Women who live in New Mexico or Montana and who are older than 17 years of age and younger than 28 years of age are eligible to compete in Miss Montana and New Mexico for America. Additionally, contestants must never have been married or given birth to a child.
