About Texas USA Ambassador
Mary Oakes, 2022 Pageant Planet Top 10 Director, resigned as the Texas State Director as of January 22, 2023, due to irreconcilable differences with the National Pageant over changes in policy outside her contract mid-season.
Director, Mary Oakes was the State Director responsible for the 2022 and 2023 Texas State Pageants. 2022 Texas Delegates represented roughly one-fifth of the National Pageant competitors and received over 30 awards and distinctions under her leadership at the 2022 National Pageant. More than any other state. Their achievements include 1 National Title, 2 World Titles, and 2 National Supermodel Titles. These achievements followed a successful 2021 season where her only 2 delegates were both honored for several optional achievements and her teen delegate took the first runner-up in her division. She is disappointed to not be able to guide the 2023 Texas girls as they prepare for their Nationals run without a director.
Mary is sad to be closing this door but continues to coach girls of all ages for multiple systems. She will be continuing her work with little ones with the Little Miss Texas Princess Program and she is listening for God's call back to directorship.

I have competed in several pageants over the years. USA AMBASSADOR is completely different from any other pageant system. The open communication is refreshing! The Texas State Director, Mary Oakes, is the biggest supporter of all the contestants. USA Ambassador is a true pageant with a purpose. Community service and the size of your heart matter! It's not all about being the prettiest girl at the pageant, it's about the beauty within!

As a contestant who had only been doing pageants for 2 years, USA Ambassador has been the best one. The director has been super fun. She always makes my time with her a good time. Even before the state pageant she made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. She gave me great advice. I had a great experience at Texas USA Ambassador! I know people will say, yes of course you did because you won, that is always a perk but the experience of the pageant and after winning is what really sticks out! My Director and I have been in constant contact, she texts me back she calls me back and we have regular meetings to keep in touch and plan out the year.
