She is the co founder of the NOW AUSTIN CHAPTER, a part of the National Organization for Women which was founded in Washington June 30, 1966. She founded the chapter of NOW to advocate for; Reproductive rights, Economic Justice, Ending Violence Against Women, Racial Justice, LQBTQIA+ Rights, and Constitutional Equality. Her goal with this organization is to uplift women, women identifying persons, and spread awareness of the intersectional issues they face. Alexia Emuze has won many art competitions including the "Love Your Body Poster Contest" for her intersectional fem. art piece. She has been featured in the Austin voyage magazine for her beauty and skincare online company. In 2021 Alexia Emuze became the first black America's Miss Sweetheart Virginia. As America's Miss Sweetheart Virginia she created her Platform Love Body & Soul; Empowering Young Women Through Intersectional Beauty. During her reign she has helped uplift and advocate for women and persons' who identify as women through public speaking, rally's, and collaborating with other organizations.
